I have been a teacher for about five years now, however i entirely adore the kids I teach and I entirely can’t imagine doing anything else.
I teach math and science to fourth graders and they entirely are the cutest kids.
It brings me joy to watch them learn everyday, then however, one thing has entirely been driving me deranged lately and it has nothing to do with the kids that I teach. The school district I work in is honestly awful and there are a lot of things that need to be fixed around the school that we just can’t afford to have fixed, however one thing that has become a real problem lately is the heating and cooling system; Right now we are in the middle of the Springtime and the air conditioner stopped working last week. I know that the school doesn’t have the money to have the air conditioner fixed, so I haven’t brought up the issue to the principal at my school. However, the parents are starting complain that the air conditioner isn’t working because their kids come home everyday and they are drenched in sweat. I am starting to feel terrible for my kids, so I went out and bought two air conditioner window units to help bring down the hot temperature of my classroom. I entirely hope this helps because I don’t see the air conditioner being fixed by the school board anytime soon. I am going to start a fundraiser and hopefully the parents that have been complaining can donate money to have the air conditioner fixed for the kids.
