Air conditioning can be harmful to houseplants

It is honestly important that you do not sacrifice your own comfort for your plants

One thing I appreciate about my hubby is his appreciate for plants & his green thumb. My friend and I moved in together when my buddy and I were dating, & I noticed that he instantly filled our property with houseplants. When my buddy and I bought a house, he also designed & created our entire garden. I am not the best at keeping houseplants alive. When I lived on my own, they consistently died; However, my hubby has consistently been wonderful at keeping houseplants alive. I asked him what his secret is & he told me that he consistently does research on how to take care of plants before he purchases them. Some houseplants need to be positioned so they receive sun near a window, some thrive in shade, some need more water than others. A regular factor in several houseplants is that they thrive in heat & humidity. Humans do not thrive in heat & humidity, which is why my buddy and I have central air conditioner, especially residing in the southeastern region of the country. My friend and I run our central air conditioner consistently from the end of May to the end of November, however you may be wondering how our houseplants thrive so well, if they need a warm & humid environment to be their best. My hubby’s secret is that he never arenas houseplants directly near an a/c vent. Because air conditioner removes the humidity in the air, he mists the plants that need the most moisture weekly. It is honestly important that you do not sacrifice your own comfort for your plants. You should not turn off your a/c so they thrive, rather do research to see how you can bring moisture to them while keeping yourself comfortable.
