If I wanted to heat my home, I needed to purchase a new furnace
When I had my HVAC system serviced at the beginning of Fall, the HVAC professional told me that my furnace wouldn’t make it through the winter. At the time, I thought he was just being pessimistic and trying to convince me to purchase a new HVAC system. My HVAC system was old, over 13 years old, but it still ran without any problems. In my mind, older appliances ran better and longer because they were built to last. I wasn’t expecting my HVAC system to run forever, but I also wasn’t expecting it to die anytime soon. A few weeks after the HVAC professional warned me about my furnace’s death, it started running inefficiently. The air coming out of the air vents was lukewarm and it took forever for my home to heat to the temperature I desired. I had to call the HVAC company and schedule a repair with hopes that my furnace would return to working order. Unfortunately, the HVAC professional who came, told me that my furnace was dead and that there was nothing he could do to save it. If I wanted to heat my home, I needed to purchase a new furnace. I hated that it came to this and that the first HVAC professional was right, but it was time. Thankfully, the company was running a special that with every new furnace purchase, they were offering a seven hundred dollar rebate. I loved that I was able to save seven hundred dollars, especially since I wasn’t counting on replacing my furnace so soon!
