Our kid is a teenager and he is genuinely independent and assertive these days; All teenage ladies go through a phase like this at some point in their lives, so I’m not surprised, then i just take his attitude day by day and try to keep things as normal as possible, however recently, she’s been complaining about the temperature of his room, then every day when I ask his how she’s slept, he tells me that he didn’t sleep at all because it was too hot, however he sleeps in the household up on the second floor, so I’m not surprised by his comments, however, he begged us to have his own room and this was the only space in the household that allowed it! Before he moved all his things up into the loft, we told his that it would be warmer up there because the heat from the lower level would naturally rise, then we only have one Heating and Air Conditioning zone in our house, so there would be no way to heat or cool the upstairs evenly with the rest of the house.
Still, he insisted on getting his own room. As a guy myself, I understand the need for his own space and I felt exhausting about his being too sizzling at night although I did warn her, and this is why, for the holidays, I’ve decided to get his a ductless mini split system. It will be installed by an Heating and Air Conditioning professional and give the household with heat and air. There will be a small remote to control the temperature and it will keep our kid comfortable without affecting the Heating and Air Conditioning system.
