I miss my old fireplace

I miss my old fireplace

My husband and I had to move about two years ago, and it was the hardest thing that I have ever had to do.

  • We now live almost eight hundred miles away from both of our families, and I miss them so much.

I love to travel, but the best part was coming home to my family. Now, I feel like I am always traveling but never coming home. Our new house is nice, but it just does not feel like home even though we have lived here for over two years. Of course, we lived in our old home for over fifteen years. The thing that I miss the most about our old house is the wood burning fireplace. I loved the smell of the wood it was so homey. I told my husband when we were looking for a home that I wanted to make sure that there was a fireplace in our new house. We looked so hard to find a nice house with a wood fireplace, but we could not find one. We found many houses with electric fireplaces, but none with wood burning fireplaces. We finally settled on the house that we are in now. My husband has had several companies come in to estimate how much it would cost to install a wood burning fireplace in our new home, but it is just too expensive for our budget right now. We are saving up to hopefully have one installed next year. I cannot wait until then. I will finally have my fireplace. I know that it will make our new home feel more like home to us.
