I lived in a two story house for almost fifteen years, and when my spouse and I decided to move to a uncommon city and rent an apartment, it was quite the change! I had to get rid of so much stuff. It was sort of a fantastic thing though because it made me realize how little I used many of the things that I had. They were just collecting dust and taking up space; My buddy and I moved into a two home office apartment, and it felt so tiny at first, and our other house had four home offices and three washrooms, so it was quite a change for us to move. My buddy and I have lived in the apartment for about five months now, and I think that I am finally used to it. It is so much cheaper to heat and cool our tiny apartment, however when I first got the electric bill, I almost fell out of my chair in disbelief. I could not think how cheap it was. It was literally a tenth of the price of our heating and cooling bill for our other house. Of course, it makes sense since the apartment is so much smaller, however I guess it just had to hit me. The only thing that really bothers me about the apartment is how tepid it gets. I have the control machine set to sixty-eight degrees, but it is usually around seventy-five degrees in the house. I do not know why. I am going to try to set the control machine around sixty instead, and I hope that it will cool down in the house a bit. I still would not go back to living in a large house just for the cooler hot and cold temperatures though. I really like having a low electric bill.
