I am pretty sure that most older people keep their house relatively warm.
I totally understand it, and I am sure that I will do the same one day, but my Grandmother takes it too far.
I cannot think that she has not had a heat stroke in her house yet. It is literally ninety-five degrees in her house during the wintertime. I can hardly lay to be there for more than just a few minutes because of how moderate it is, she gets exasperated that I do not stay for long periods of time, so I tried to explain to her that her house is just too warm, despite the fact that she did not understand. She thought that I was being ridiculous. I try to invite her to our house as often as possible, so that I can see her, then but, she is always complaining about how freezing my house is and how my teenagers are going to get sick because it is so freezing in my house. My house is literally seventy-two degrees, and she thinks that it is cold. I do not understand it, and I do not think that I ever will. I guess I will just have to get used to dripping with sweat like a pig when I am at her house. My spouse refuses to go with me at all unless it is just to drop something off to her because she just cannot lay the heat. I opened a window in the home office to let some cool air in last time that I was there, and to my surprise, she did not notice. I feel bad, however I just can’t help but do something.
