There’s a myriad of reasons why people have abruptly decided to stop going out to shop… That transition was going on long before the COVID-19 pandemic! However, of course the pandemic has exacerbated the situation to the point where people have gotten rather used to being hermits, nearly.
I can’t say that I genuinely blame them; One of the reasons I like to shop online these afternoons is because some of the stores I frequent constantly have the temperature control all wrong.
The supermarket that I go to is nearly constantly cold, as well as not just in the freezer aisle or the dairy aisle, mind you, and but I don’t want to wear an extra layer when it’s hot as blazes outside, which it is! I have to choose between shivering as well as having chattering teeth inside the store or being relatively comfortable inside the store as well as then being truly hot as well as hot on my trip in as well as out of the parking lot! There’s also a clothing store that I rather like, apart from its seeming lack of air conditioner. They have a fantastic selection of clothing as well as fantastic deals now as well as again. However, I only feel the barest wisp of cool air coming from above me when I am in that store! Let me sit in my pajamas in my own home, set the thermostat to whatever temperature I like, as well as do all the shopping in the world! Call me lazy or antisocial for it, however at least I am comfortable, as well as I don’t need to apologize for that!
