My friends and I get crazy during baseball season.
We love to cheer on our favorite teams. Most of us root for the same team, but a couple of guys root for the other city team. When the two teams play each other, we get rowdy. Towards the end of last season, the two teams played each other and it was on a Thursday night. I was supposed to be the emergency technician on call that evening for the heating and air conditioning company. I had the phone by the table so I could listen for any repair emergency calls. I didn’t hear the phone ring at all until we were in the fifth inning. I had to answer the phone, even though the score was tied, 3-3. The lady on the phone needed some help with an air conditioner problem. She came home and there was water all over the floor in front of the air conditioner. She didn’t want to wait until the morning, because there wasn’t any cool air in the house. I wasn’t going to tell the customer no even if I wanted to watch the end of the game. It took about 15 minutes for me to get to the house address. I got my tools and walked into the house. The lady was very nice and the game was on TV in the living room. I saw the score of the game and it was still tied up. I told the owner of the house that I was watching the game at home and she told me that they would leave the door open so I could listen to the game while I worked on the air conditioner repair.
