The apartments are managed by a large company that contracts services with our company for heating and AC related problems.
The apartment management business also has a company that handles the pool, groundskeeping, maintenance, and the electric and plumbing problems. When I get a call from an apartment, one of the first questions that I ask is whether or not the tenant has a dog. I’ve had a lot of dogs sneak up on me in the past and I was bit once. I recently had a call when I almost got bit by a guy’s dog even though he was there. The dog was in the living room and I was in the hallway. The dog seemed to be very well behaved. He wagged his tail when I came through the door with all of my tools. The dog sat in the living room while I worked on the air conditioner repair. Everything seemed fine until I was getting ready to leave. The dog lunged at me and tried to bite my arm. The owner of the dog stopped him in time, but I was pretty scared at that moment. I never would say that out loud to everyone, but I honestly thought the dog was going to tear my arm off. After the owner got a hold of the dog, he seemed much more calm. I got out of that apartment as quickly as I could after the repair was finished.
