I’ve been enjoying the cool air from my a/c all Summer long… My a/c was upgraded two years ago, so it’s still in superb shape & cooling my house efficiently; I savor knowing that my a/c is reliable & it’s going to keep my house cool.
I wish I could say the same about my furnace, however that’s not the case.
My furnace is well over a decade seasoned & it’s on its way out. I couldn’t’ afford to upgrade both my a/c & my furnace at the same time, which is why it’s so seasoned & my a/c isn’t. My Heating, Ventilation, & A/C professional urged me to upgrade my furnace at the end of winter so it would be ready for the following fall, however I couldn’t bring myself to do it, now, I’m regretting that decision. I’ve been enjoying the peace that came with knowing my a/c wouldn’t give out on me at any moment, however that bubble is going to burst when I start using my furnace again… The furnace is seasoned & inefficient, & there’s always the opportunity that it will stop working for good. I’m thinking about replacing the furnace soon with the hope that it will be cheaper during the Summer months, however I haven’t seen any sales! A current furnace will cost thousands of dollars, however it could be worth it. I should have listened to my Heating, Ventilation, & A/C professional about replacing it last year. Then, I wouldn’t have all this stress & anxiety.
