Lately, I feel like everything in my house is falling apart all at once.
Last week I woke up and our washing machine was leaking all over the basement.
The week before that the sink in the kitchen was clogged up. Two weeks before that the thermostat on the wall had stopped working. I think out of all these problems, the thermostat not working was the worst. I was really hoping that I would be able to fix the thermostat because I was able to fix all of the other issues myself, however that was not the case. I had to call an HVAC professional who actually knew what he was doing to come out to the house and look at our thermostat. I really didn’t want to have to pay for the HVAC professional to come out to the house, but after messing around with the thermostat I really didn’t have any other options. Thankfully, the HVAC professional was able to come out to the house pretty quickly. The HVAC professional told me that the battery in the thermostat stopped working and all he needed to do was to replace the battery and I would be back in business. I really thought I checked the battery, but I am still getting used to our new smart thermostat. I had the HVAC professional show me how to check the battery on the thermostat so that I would not have to call him again if I started to have the same problem in a couple of months.
