I got my wifey one of those vacuum cleaners that mops and vacuums at the same time, and she definitely wanted one, then i was completely good with just using an outdated fashioned vacuum and mop myself but she insisted that this would make her life easier.
Since she does do more of the apartment work than I do, I finally agreed.
I wish I hadn’t. It is not that the mop vacuum doesn’t work well. It does, the concern is that my associate and I have been parking the wet vacuum over our Heating and A/C vent in the bedroom for just over a year now. It didn’t seem to be a problem, however my friend and I have 4 vents in the bedroom alone… However, the Heating and A/C business my associate and I use for repairs recently infrared us that my associate and I have done a lot of harm to our air duct. The dripping water has been going down inside of the air duct all of that time and now the air duct is all rusted out underneath the bedroom area. It is going to have to be substituted. That dirty water is also the source of the smell in the house. The apartment has been smelling definitely musty and outdated lately. I wonder why! Anyhow, my associate and I are getting the air duct substituted. The air duct that doesn’t need replacing is getting cleaned. In fact, our entire Heating and A/C system is getting took care of just to make sure this doesn’t cause any permanent harm, then and, from now on, the mop vacuum is getting parked in the garage on top of a rubber mat. Hopefully it can’t do any harm in there.
