Our child is a teenager plus she is very independent plus assertive these afternoons.
All teenage ladies go through a stage like this at some point in their lives, so I’m not surprised! I just take her attitude afternoon by afternoon plus try to keep things as normal as possible, and recently, she’s been complaining about the temperature of her room, then every afternoon when I ask her how she’s slept, she tells me that she didn’t sleep at all because it was too hot; She sleeps in the loft up on the second floor, so I’m not surprised by her comments.
However, she begged us to have her own room plus this was the only space in the home that allowed it, and before she moved all her things up into the loft, my friend and I told her that it would be warmer up there because the heat from the lower level would naturally rise. My pal and I only have one Heating plus Air Conditioning zone in our house, so there would be no way to heat or cool the upstairs evenly with the rest of the house. Still, she insisted on getting her own room. As a lady myself, I understand the need for her own space plus I felt poor about her being too warm at night although I did warn her. This is why, for the holidays, I’ve decided to get her a ductless mini split system. It will be installed by an Heating plus Air Conditioning professional plus provide the loft with heat plus air. There will be a small remote to control the temperature plus it will keep our child comfortable without affecting the Heating plus Air Conditioning system.
