I’ve been having therapy sessions for five years now.
I don’t consider myself to be a particularly unstable individual, but I’ve had a rough life in some ways, and I’ve found that therapy greatly benefits me.
There’s just some things you don’t want to bother your mates or your girlfriend with, you know? I have to admit though, I feel like I’m doing much better than I was when I first started the sessions, but one of the reasons I don’t want to give it up is because of how comfortable it is at the therapy office due to their excellent climate control! Besides being a very comfortable and comforting environment due to the decor and general mood of both the waiting room and the therapist offices, they just seem to have the thermostat set to the perfect temperature for relaxation and reflection. It’s not too hot and it’s not too cold, it’s just perfect! I would imagine not all of the patients feel that way, because everyone’s different in how they perceive temperature, but for me, it’s so nice! Sometimes, I’m so relaxed under the air conditioning, that I nearly fall asleep as I’m talking! I’m not saying that my sessions aren’t helpful and effective at helping me sort out my feelings and vent my frustrations to a willingly listening ear. I’m just saying that being comfortable on account of climate control really helps things too. I’d imagine I wouldn’t be able to concentrate very well if I was freezing cold, for example. And if I was too hot I think I’d be cranky and unwilling to open up. For these reasons, I’m going to stick with my therapy sessions!
